A Note From Shauna

“Here Comes the Sun” is my favorite Beatles song. Steel Magnolias is my favorite movie, though You’ve Got Mail takes a close second place. To Kill a Mockingbird is the best book ever written, and it makes a great play. Francine Rivers is my favorite modern writer. I hold great respect for Stephen King, though. My parents were hippies, but I grew up in DFW, so I’m kind of like Dharma with a job. All of this makes no difference whatsoever to my clients, but these days, the trend in bios is to include personal information — so there you go.

Now to the facts that matter.

What I Have in Common with Dentists

Coming from parents who love nature and place more value on living life than on making money, and being that my mother is a nurse, it seems logical that I landed in a health-related industry. As is true with most passionate professionals, I fell in love with my trade — writing — early in life. Words are awesome. They are scribbled symbols that convey an entire idea from one mind to another. Being in the dental industry today is quite a trip. The research linking oral to overall health is so interesting that I tend to lose hours and days researching new discoveries. The best part of my job, though, is interviewing dentists and talking shop with my clients. I love to hear different philosophies and schools of thought regarding clinical care, and contemporary technology for diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment can keep me chatting for eons. In short, I am a nerd at heart. I find that this is a common thread between my clients and me.

I Want to Introduce the Identiwrite Creative Team

Now I’ll guide you through meeting everyone on your marketing team, here at Identiwrite Creative.

Shauna Duty

Owner

Welcome to Identiwrite Creative! I own this little marketing firm. We have an amazing team of workers, and all have a servant's heart. If you have any questions or comments, email me at shauna@identiwrite.com. I'd love to hear from you.

---------------------------

Shauna Duty has owned two marketing companies, both focused on dental websites and online marketing. Prior to opening her businesses, she worked for a well known dental marketing company in the DFW area. Currently, she owns and manages Identiwrite Creative, working directly with clients, employees, and contractors to provide excellent service.

Shauna has written over one thousand dental websites, articles, and blog posts for dentists in the USA, Canada, and other English-speaking nations. Her expertise in dental marketing has been honed over years of interviewing, studying, and writing about the biggest names, products, technology, and procedures in the dental field. Her articles on dental marketing and blogging have been published on many websites, including Dental Products Report and Modern Hygienist. She also authored a chapter on reputation management for dentists for the ADA Practical Guide to Internet Marketing.

In addition, Shauna has led telecourses, webinars, and conference presentations on Internet marketing. Before entering the dental copywriting field, she was a successful freelancer, with articles published in national and regional print publications and online. Her professional background includes management, administration, corporate vendor show planning, and marketing promotions.

Because of her experience working with medical and dental professionals, Shauna understands dentistry, healthcare, marketing laws, ADA guidelines, and the minds of patients, so she is uniquely equipped to promote your dental practice.

Shauna is the director of a local writers' group, Mustard Seeds Christian Writers. She's also working on a novel, but who isn't?

Shauna and Chris attend North Church in Fort Worth, Tx. They’ve been married for over 26 years. Chris is the general manager of D-Bat, and he lives for baseball. They lend support to Mercy House, a maternity home for single mothers, and Pregnancy Help 4U, a crisis pregnancy center.

Their daughter, Alysen, is the business manager for Identiwrite Creative, and also the mother of their precious granddaughter, Gracie Belle.

Their son, Riese, is a realtor and general contractor in Tyler, Tx. Riese and his wife, Cara, live in Winona, TX. Cara teaches, writes for Identiwrite, and is currently pursuing her real estate license.

Shauna and Chris enjoy talking about Identiwrite Creative’s future while cheering on the Rangers, Cowboys, and Stars, and they make frequent visits to the family farm in Henderson, Tx.

Alysen Duty

Business Manager

I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a psychology BA in 2017 and had my daughter, Grace, shortly after. After a year of being a part-time, stay-at-home momma, and part-time admin assistant to Shauna, I decided to take on a full-time role as Identiwrite Creative’s business office manager. I help our clients with administrative things, like scheduling, support tasks, and keeping track of logins. I also do A/P, A/R, some SEO research, and I maintain website updates.

When I’m not working, I love to secondhand shop with Grace and my mom, cook and bake, and spend time sipping coffee with my friends and family. Along with being Grace’s momma, I also have a black lab mix, named Kase…or Kee-Bug, as he’s lovingly called by Grace and me.

Mandy Wilson

Copy Director

My name is Mandy and I’m the lead copywriter here at Identiwrite. I create custom content for our clients, helping them increase business while staying true to their own ideologies. I enjoy combining clinical knowledge and creativity to produce subject matter that is informative and understandable.
In 2002, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. A few years later, I obtained my license as a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Tennessee. I spent ten years working in a private periodontal practice, where I served as surgical assistant, implant treatment coordinator, and eventually web content manager. During this time, I developed a passion for dentistry and a true admiration for the dedication necessary to run a successful practice. In 2017, I decided to end my time in clinical dentistry to join Identiwrite. It was the best career choice I’ve ever made, and I’m proud to serve our clients in this capacity!
When I’m not writing professionally, I enjoy writing creatively. I also love singing, traveling, and spending time in my hammock with a good book.

Cara Duty

Copywriter

I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2017 with a BA in English. After teaching high school English for a couple of years, I decided to try something different, and I’m so glad I did! At Identiwrite Creative, I compose optimized articles and blogs – and I really enjoy writing.

My husband and I live on five acres in a tiny east Texas town. We live in a turn-of-the-Century home with our two dogs and eleven chickens. We love playing board games and being outdoors, as well as hosting Bible studies and hanging out with church friends.

Leigh Ann Bryant

Copywriter

I earned my BSN and worked as an ER, acute dialysis, and OR nurse for over two decades. I’ve been published in numerous formats, including my narrative nonfiction book, In My Defense, and now work from home as a freelance writer. I take on special projects for our clients, and I also compose web content, like webpages, articles, and blogs. I find SEO very interesting, but I really enjoy the clinical side of dental and medical copywriting.

I love God, my family, world travel, and cheering on my State Champion gymnast son. For more information about me or my publishing history, check out my website, www.leighannbryant.com.

Eric Leach

Legal Writer

Hello, everybody! My name is Eric Leach, and I live in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. I began my career in music, performing as a professional musician and working in technical support at electronic music companies such as Roland, Alesis, and Samick. In 2000, I graduated magna cum laude from Whittier Law School in the top 5% of my class, serving as Executive Editor for Law Review for two years after receiving the Law Review Outstanding Candidate Award. I also participated in the Moot Court Honors Board, was a founding member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and received American Jurisprudence/CALI Awards for the highest grade in five classes.

Upon graduation, I practiced primarily as a business law litigator, including state, federal and appellate business litigation. I moved on to academia, teaching a variety of classes at top-tier law schools around the country. I have also provided counseling for a variety of firms across the country and am licensed to practice law in California. I have published award-winning scholarly articles, magazine articles, technical manuals, and hundreds of legal briefs, and blog posts.

On a personal level, I am dedicated to my family, my three rescue cats, and writing/creating music in my modest home studio. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption, and my favorite books are the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. My favorite authors are Stephen King (no surprise there) and John Grisham. My all-time favorite song is Vincent, by Don McLean, about the life of Vincent van Gogh. My semi-recent favorite song is Someone You Loved, by Lewis Capaldi. I love going on the scariest rollercoasters with my daughter, watching zombie movies with my son, and travelling with my wife. I’ve been to Canada, Mexico, South Korea, England, France, and 48 of the 50 states. I am very good at Blackjack, and decent on the piano, guitar, and drums. Finally, I am a rabid supporter of the University of Arkansas’s basketball team: “Call them Hawgs!”

Eddie Brown

My background is in music, and I have a BA in music from the University of North Texas. I grew up in North Texas and call Fort Worth home.

I began writing professionally several years ago and now work for several publications. In my spare time, I enjoy running and playing piano. I finished my second half marathon recently (woot!) and hope to do the big 26.2 soon. I’m also a proud father, as you can see.
